Nivek's stay in hospital

OMG!! On Thursday night Nivek fell off a ledge under our balcony at home and landed on his head and shoulders. Mum thought it wasn't that bad so she picked him up and he started rolling his eyes and looked like he was gonna spew. So Kelly and Aunty Ray Ray helped him upstairs and Mum called an ambulance.

Those fence things in the pic also landed on him.......ouch!! Anyways the ambulance came and stabalised him and asked heaps of questions. Mum rang Dad at work and he came home and went with Veek to the hospital. When he got to the emergency ward they gave him xrays and scans and found out that he had a fractured skull.
He had to wear a neck brace and lay on this back support thingy. The black things next to his head are sand bags so he didn't move his head and neck. After 9 hours in emergency ward he was moved to the childrens ward at the Mater hospital.
That was a really long night with the nurses and doctors poking and prodding Veek while he slept. The next morning we woke up in hospital and Koro Tim was there to visit. Veek was sooo excited because we haven't seen him for ages. He stayed for a few hours and Mum was stoked because she could finally have a smoke without Veek moaning that he was lonely.
After he went home Dad,Lennox and Uncle Bonny came to visit and Mum got to go home and have a break. Later that day Koro Craig, Aunty Pania, Vicky, Uncle Tom, Aunty Te Rina and Harmony came to visit. Veek took them to the play area to show them around a bit....

Then everyone went home and it was back to Mum and Veek getting bored in the little hospital room. The nurses took a fancy to Veek and let him stay up later then the other kids and watch the footy. Yay!! Finally at 9 pm on saturday Veek was discharged from hospital. He can do most normal things now but he's not allowed to play footy for at least 6 weeks and can't have punch ups with Lennox either. After half an hour at home this is already proving to be a challenge lol. Mum has to go to school with Veek on tuesday and let the teacher know what he can and can't do. Should be an interesting few weeks. He is guttered that he can't play footy. But we will still attend the games and let you all know how the teams going.

In other news it's Aunty Polly's birthday. She's the big 30 today!!! And she's going to Jack Johnson:(:( Mum is sooo jealous. Anyways happy birthday Aunty we all love you long time and hope you have the bestest birthday ever.

Well that's all from our house for now. Perhaps tomorrow we'll chuck on some pics of the boys stuffing their faces with chocolate. Happy easter everyone. Be safe and enjoy the long weekend..... nearly forgot about Nana Diane. Hope you enjoyed the memorial Nan we love you long time too.

Chocolate drive

This week we've been on a mission to sell our choccies. Everyone in Veek's team got 1 box each and we got 6 boxes because we're awesome at selling chocolate.
Lennox did really well in swimming this week and got moved up into the crocodile class. We're very proud of him.
Veek hasn't been up to much this week. Just giving Mum a headache cause he wants to be a hater about everything. Here's a pic of him tryna argue his way out of doing his homework.
On friday we went to Jordyns 3rd bday party. The food was really yummy. Lennox mostly ate the chips but Mum went hard for pizza and dip. Mmmmmm. We took Aunty Kylie and Izire. This was Izire's first birthday party. He was very well behaved.
And finally here's a pic of Payton. He's grown so big since the last time we saw him. He's really cuddly. We love Payton.

Any whanau and friends who have ideas for fundraising or just wanna give our boys some money, please feel free to let us know. All sponsors will get big ups on the blog hard lol.

Our holiday back home

Finally we are back in Aussie. Our trip home was awesome and heres a few pics of things we did and people we saw along the way. First up we went to Panguru and the boys went fishing with Papa Willie at Mitimiti. Turns out they don't really have much patience for fishing and ended up giving up after 10 minutes. So next we went roaming on the beach and found a cave. Papa told us that Mama owns a whole heap of land near the cave.

After being nosey over there we went sand boarding down the dunes and finished off the day with a swim in the creek.
Later that day we went to K Road and saw all the whanau. Veek was reluctant to play outside cause he didn't want to dirty his shoes lol. Eventually he started running around with his cousins and they all camped out in the tent at the front of Uncle Dougs.

The next day we were off to Rangi Point to see mama and papa. We went exploring on the farm and this was the funniest thing that the boys had ever seen.... Next we were off to T.A to see our boy Babylon. We took him for a few days to Rotorua and here's some of the stuff we did there. We went to the lakefront to play at the park. While we were there we saw some ponies so Lennox had to have a go..... We went on a pedal boat on the lake too and it looked far easier then it really was. The boys put their feet up while Mum and Dad sweated profusely. We didn't even last the allocated 20 minutes because Mum and Dad were too tired.

Then we went to watch Chloe practice her bmx racing. She was wearing her new racing gears and looked very sharp.....
The next day we had to head back to T.A and we got to see Miss Rion. We had a BBQ at Uncle Pat's too. Mum thought it was funny when everyone was playing with a chatter ring. The food was the bomb too.
The next day was Babylon's birthday and all the whanau went to Uncle Bou's for a kai. Here's some pics of everyone who was there and Babylon blowing out his candle
We got a look at Aunty Missy's puku too. She's having a boy due on the 26th of march. He doesn't have a name yet but Aunty is open to suggestions if anyone has any good ideas
And here's some shots of other people we saw on our journeys.........

Mum is getting really hoha with blogging now so check out Chloe's blog to see the gondola pics. Lmao how lazy is that..........

Just in case y'all haven't been keeping track we have 1 day to go until our holiday. Unfortunately Mum and Lennox seem to be coming down with the flu. So look out NZ, we're on our way and we're bringing our germs with us.

Uncle Ene has had our camera lately so we have no new pics of our boys. But we have this one of Izire. Isn't he getting big.......

See you soon whanau.........
