Mana has arrived

Our newest member of the fams has arrived finally. Mr Mana William Burdett was born on the 18th of september 2010 weighing a healthy 8 pound 13 ounces and 51 cms long. Congrats Christina and Cam.

Today is Papa's 50th birthday. SOOO old Lennox reckons. There's 11 days to go now and I nearly didn't blog today coz I was busy as and the net is being an asshole. Isaiah is still at our place and Nivek is still at Eliott's place. Today Lennox got his ear pierced. He wanted 2 in the same ear and talked it up all the way to the shop as if he's a piercing pro then got the 1st one and said "I only want 1 now Mum". We did our groceries and ran other errands today and got everything done in time for me to attend Kin and Craig's wedding at 4 pm. It was a lovely backyard wedding. I didn't drink though cause I was still seedy from friday nights effort. Came home from that and chilled with the boys, fell asleep on the couch now I'm wide awake at midnight with nothing to do.

Finally picked up Lennox's pants but still haven't got Veeks shirt or a haircut lol. Nivek is going to stay at Elliots place tonight cause he's got training in the morning and a team bbq. Isaiahs coming to stay at our place with Lennox just because lennox will get jealous if Veek's up to something and he's not lol. I'm off to my mate Joeys for the night to watch the footy warriors vs broncos then rabbits vs eels should be a good night. Dad has to work in the morning hahaha.

Well I didn't pick up Lennox's suit cause the dumbass shop was closed and I didn't get a haircut either grrrr. Lennox went on a school excursion today to the city to a museum and a restaurant for lunch. His class has been learning about healthy food choices and how to eat well when you're dining out. He had heaps of fun but complained that they didn't give him enough food and he was still hungry lol. Nivek went to pick up his Lytton uniform today for his met east trial next week. His fees were only $33 so I was stoked about that. Dad cooked us some gangsta steak for dinner while we were at training, soooo good. Last day of mahi tomorrow then a very busy weekend lined up. Today Lennox got his passport YAY!! Express really means express over here. Talked to Aunty Miss today. She's counting down the days too. Can't wait to see miss Maania. She'll be nice and big compared to when we last saw her. My Kauri monster goes to kindy now and Aunty Miss works there. Maania stays home with her dad. The boys stayed home with their dad tonight while I went shopping in my friend Ali's wardrobe. So much better options then at the shops. All sorted now clothes wise and ready for Kin and Craigs wedding on saturday. Gotta pick Lennox's trousers up from the seamstress tomorrow and find that fussy nivek a shirt and get a haircut and go to training and mahi and kura.......the list goes on and on. Posted Aunty Shona my whole Outrageous Fortune collection today so she can watch right from the beginning. I can't wait to get season 6.

Today was super busy with mahi, kura and training. Lennox has finished his season but Veek's team is in the semis so he still has to train. 3 times a week now too WTF is up with that?? We got home at 830 so the house is paru as. Tryna get our stuff ready for our trip home......such a mission. Lennox's passport is processed and will be getting posted out tomorrow. Yay at least something's going right. Mum has a new supervisor at work which is so great cause her last boss was an idiot to say the least. Dad wagged work today which was cool cause the boys didn't have to get up at stupid oclock and get dropped off to Keri's house.

Lodged Lennox's passport today so fingers crossed we get it back on time. Don't have much other news today as I took night time hayfever pills instead of day ones and it knocked me out for 4 hours after work and when I woke up my whanau had had dinner, done homework, showered and gone to bed. Nice for me cause I don't have to get in line to use my own computer lol.

Today Lennox had his last footy game for the year. His team didn't win but he had a great game. Lots of good runs and tackles only downside was getting penalised for a high tackle. Next week he has his team break up.
Nivek played against Wynnum today. They won but I don't know the score cause I was at Lennox's game. Veek got 2 tries and did a mean tackle that you could hear apparently. His team is in the semis next week.
After the footy the boys went to the local pools for a swim with Aunty Chante and her kids.
This week is curbside chuck out when you can throw out all your junk around your house and the council removes it. You're allowed to dump 2 cubic metres of stuff. Most of our neighbours have a small pile average to a washing machine size. Our stuff is taking up the whole front of our property lol and includes 3 washing machines and a dryer.
After that we watched sunday arvo footy and got all our shiz ready for kura and mahi tomorrow.

Last night I booked Nana Diane's flights. She's flying on the 18th of september. Perth to Sydney to Rotorua then Auckland to Brisbane to Perth. What a mission!! But so worth it aye Nan.

Well dramas in the bahamas doing Lennox's passport. But long story short, after abusing many people today I'm having a passport interview on monday and it should get sent to me within 10 days. So slutted that I had to pay the express fee. Should've checked the passport sooner then wouldn't have this drama.
Anywho, Isaiah went home tonight and Lennox is getting ready for his last game of footy tomorrow. He had a choice day hanging out with his cousin and I'm still loving the peace and quiet.
Nivek stayed at Elliots again cause he wanted to go to the blue light disco to see his GF!! So no news from him.
FYI I'm BUI(blogging under the influence) again......and booking Nana Diane's flight too. More info tomorrow.

Today's weather in Brizzy was the pits. Heaps of rain and cold too. Nothing like the sweet 28 degree day we had yesterday.
Tonight Isaiah is staying at our place with Lennox and Nivek has gone to stay with Elliot. Lots of sleepovers this week. Nice and peaceful without my boys fighting.
Tomorrow we are getting Lennox's trousers for the wedding altered as they are size 12 and much too long. Nivek still doesn't have a shirt to wear......fussy lil punk lol.

OMG today I realised that Lennox's passport expires next week so better do something about that tomorrow. For some reason I thought it expired in october. WTF thought I would've learnt my lesson last month when I was stranded and made a last minute dash to Sydney. Lucky Lennox is an Ozzy so it should be easy and faster to get the passport.

Busy busy today. Both boys had training and we didn't get home till 8. Then dinner, showers and homework.....then open the mail to find that we have the real estate coming tomorrow to fix our pakuru shower so have to do a mission clean of the house before the morning. OMG tired just thinking bout it. Lucky it's friday tomorrow and I can unwind with some nice beers.

Today was very exciting cause Veek was on the news. Channel 7 news was filming their school as the 'school of the week' in Brizzy. The camera panned the classroom and caught a good shot of Veeky. I didn't see Lennox though :-(
Xavier is staying at our house the night with Nivek and Lennox is at Aydin's house for a sleepover. FYI Aydin and Xavier are brothers that are the same age as my boys and in the same class as my boys and they are Keri and Nathan's kids(Keri and Nathan are our babysitters/friends).

What else????? Hmmm that's all I think....

Today was boring dot com. After work I went shopping with Aunty Kylie to look for wedding attire but realised I'm a fatty mc fat fat and can't fit anything cool and all other awesome clothes were the right style but ugly colours. It was also disappointing so see how 80's ugly clothes are back in and so is velvet......that's a big GROSS DOT COM in my book.
After reading Chloe's blog it has reminded me of how Nivek doesn't like religious education and has even asked me to write him a note to get him out of religious classes. I wonder if he goes to the library with the Jehovah Witness and non believer kids like we used to back in the days.
I was too lazy to cook tea so we had pad khing and fried rice from the thai place up the road. So much for my goal to lose weight for the amazing race lol.

Yesterday I forgot to say that after Veek's sad as footy game he was approached by the Qld Maori coach and asked to be part of the devlopment squad. He can't actually play till he's 16 but they're interested in him already. Part of the registration form said tribe and he put Te Arawa then hapu and he said "hell no I'm not hapu" lol. Should've been down for the northland ways and I would've known the answer to that.
Lennox has to make a plate for his school party to welcome the channel 7 news crew. He's gonna make lamingtons(from a packet) and whipped cream cause he loves it and it's easy. 2 thumbs up from me.
Both boys have rostered time on the net as of today cause Veek chats all day on MSN to his many fans/girlfriends and Lennox wastes my usage on stupid games. They're not very happy about it but these are the perks of paying the bill.....I get to invent the rules.

Today was footy day. Both boys lost their games today but Veek's one was a nightmare....58-0 to the other team. So ratshit to watch. After footy we went to DFO to buy Lennox's wedding shoes. He got some hi-top DC's. They're red and black. Nivek was supposed to get a shirt for the wedding but he ended up getting a t shirt instead. Then we came home and watched the mighty vodafone warriors smoke the knights. Then had a gangsta feed of lamb chops, chicken kievs, mashed potatoes, corn, carrots, mushroom sauce and garlic bread. Bit of an odd combo but it was delicious. Back to dumb old work tomorrow........

We have tickets for our journey home next month. Yay!! Tonight we went to watch Step up 3D. The kids loved it but for me it was boring so I had a nap instead. Tomorrow we're going to buy wedding shoes for Lennox and wedding shirt for Nivek. Lennox wants to get chucks so he can be like Uncle Ene.

Have to blog early today cause I'm going to the footy tonight to watch Broncos vs Eels. Kids are staying home with Dad. Got my tax money today and can confirm that I will be flying to the motherland with my kids next month. YIPEE!! Can't wait. Also happy to have paid lots of bills.

Very windy day today in Brizzy. So didn't want to go to training but we still did. The boys spent the day with Uncle Joe today cause it was teacher only day. Mum hauled her hungova ass to mahi lol. The highlight of the day was receiving my tax money then paying some long overdue debt. So fulfilling to not have bills......well not as many anyways. Tomorrow Mum is going to the Broncos vs Eels game with friends. Was supposed to be with kids, but naughty boys that try to run away(Nivek) and kick holes in the wall(Lennox) have to stay home with their father for punishment.

Not much doing today. Lennox's training was cancelled and Nivek only had training so that his team raffle could be drawn. Mum's friend Mabel won a hairdresser voucher and haircare package. Pissing with rain in Brizzy and everyone has tomorrow off school and work because it's Ekka public holiday. Mum has to work though because chickens wait for no one lol....

Today the boys both went to school, did homework and played outside with the neighbours as per usual. Nivek came home with a school fees bill of $190 which pissed me right off cause it's already paid, so the school's gonna get the what ups from me tomorrow.
Me and my bro Nardz have decided to audition for the amazing race australia, so the boys went for a walk with me this arvo to encourage me to get fit for the competition. Even if we don't make it on the show it can't hurt to get in shape right?? Next thing is the boys want me to give up smoking for the competition WTF?? Lennox chants "No Garry No!!" when I light up lol.
Nivek isn't allowed to pick on Lennox all week or he can't play footy on sunday. No other punishment works on him so let's see if this works or if I can stick to it.
Both boys need sponsors for their maths-a-thon that's happening in 2 weeks so c'mon whanau support the cause.

Well the big Met East footy presentation was 30th of june and the team received their jerseys. They're very tight, but that's to prevent jersey slinging. Here's some pics...

So then the comp started day 1 they beat Sunshine Coast 18-0. Day 2 they played South Coast it's a 6-6 draw 10 minutes to go and Veek does a devastating tackle and breaks his right ring finger and has to go to hospital for surgery. OMFG....

But the dream isn't over....Day 3 Nivek gets out of hospital at 2pm and we drive to the northside to attend their game at 3pm vs Wide Bay which they won 18-0. Day 4 they carve in the semis against Darling Downs 30-0. So now if they win the final vs Met West Nivek will offically be the best prop in all of qld for his age. Fingers crossed for tomorrow. In 4 weeks Veek will be back on the field helping his Carina team through the rest of their season.

Lennox is getting better every week. He started off doing cartwheels on the field and throwing dirt at people to fully attcking the line at pace, crunching people in tackles and scoring tries. Well done Lennox.

School holidays

This is the 1st week of school holidays and the boys have left me and gone to Nana Kim's for the week. I have been meeting them at trainings but other then that it's boring.com staying home with Dad. I could venture out and about while the kids are gone but it's very cold here and it's so much easier to stay inside where it's warm.

On wednesday Nivek has his presentation dinner for Met East and the competition starts next week. Mum can't wait to have the week off work. Lennox doesn't want to come, so if anyone wants him then let me know lol.

Well I forgot to blog Dad's bday lmao. It was on the 26th of may and he turned 32. He was super happy that the maroons won origin, it made his day. Here's a recent pic of him and the boys.

On thursday it was Aunty Hario's 28th bday. I didn't get any pics of her from this trip but I'll blog one when I'm using my own computer.

Lennox had the flu real bad when I got back so he wagged school on monday and we caught up on much needed rest. While I was in NZ he competed in cross country and came 4th. So proud of him.

Nivek had his 1st met east game on thursday 27th of may against met west. They lost by 1 try but enjoyed the challenge and learnt how to improve for the next game.

Happy bday Chloe

My niece is the big 10 today. OMG where did those 10 years go. I remember her being wheeled out of the delivery room as if it were yesterday. Mine and Treez's 1st thoughts were OMG look at all her black hair. We were convinced that she was gonna be blonde. I also thought she was so tiny at 5 pound 3 but the nurses said that seeming she was 7 weeks premmy that was an excellent weight. Anyways Chloe, have a fantastic birthday and we love so so much over here in Brizzy.
