Veek played Browns Plains this week and wasted them 40-0. Veek scored 2 tries this week. He also played his 1st game for his school on friday arvo. They lost to Wondall Heights 10-8. Mum was nervous on the sideline cause some of the kids had moustaches and were really tall. Veek didn't get a run but he put in some good tackles. Mum isn't used to Veeky being one of the smallest on the field. Hopefully he'll learn some valuable skills playing with older kids.

Lennox had a playdate with Marcello, Michael, Jessie and Jordan on saturday at their Grandma's house. Their Grandma Lynne made rewana bread. It was the bomb. Lennox had a ball and was all tuckered out when he got home. Lennox has dress up day at school on tuesday. He's going as Heatblast from Ben 10. We'll upload pics later.

Wynnum vs Beenleigh

Today Veek played against Beenleigh and had 2 mean games. He came off the bench in the first game for Greg's team and scored 2 tries. In his own team in the second game he scored 3 tries. He got the man of the match medal for playing hard in both games and getting the most tackles and tries in the 2nd and the most tries in the first. The final score for his game was 28-10. Well done Wynnum.
Big ups to Veek's entourage who supports him every week. Dad, Mum, Lennox, Uncle Ene, Aunty Kylie, Uncle AJ, Aunty Hana, Nana Kim and Darren.

Let's go Broncos

On friday night we went to Suncorp Stadium to watch Brisbane Broncos vs Melbourne Storm. The broncos won 16-14. Aunty Christina and Uncle Cam came along with us. We bought some balloon hats and big inflatable hands at the game too.Uncle Cam and Lennox were repping their Mitimiti shirts hoping Adam Blair would spot them in the crowd of 40,000. Unfortunately he didn't lol.
And look at Veeky, he's willingly having a photo lol. He couldn't wear his Mitimiti shirt cause it doesn't fit so we gave it to Que instead.

My sports star

Veek represented his school in the bayside district swimming comp on tuesday and came first in the 50 metre backstroke finals. We're all very proud of him as he hasn't had swimming lessons since he was 5 so it's quite an achievement.
He also got selected for the school league team. Trials were quite hard as he was competing against kids aged 9 to 12. He was the only grade 5 kid to be selected. All the rest of his team are grade 6 and 7 so he has to try really hard to keep up with their skills. The school league season starts in 2 weeks so we'll keep yall posted.
Also we only have 69 days to go till we fly home to NZ.

Tooth fairy's in town

Yesterday Lennox lost his first tooth. The tooth fairy gave him $5 for his efforts. He took his $5 for show and tell as he is the first in his class to lose a tooth. Mum was surprised that he lost his tooth so early cause Veek was 7 and a half.
Speaking of Veek, he played Capalaba again yesterday. I'm not sure of the score but Veek got 4 tries. It was a really hot day so the boys did well to play in the heat. I'm pretty sure they won. Mum is the new manager so we have some fundraising to do now. Any ideas whanau??

Wynnum What!!

Veek played his 1st game today for his new club Wynnum Seagulls. They lost 28-22 to Capalaba Warriors but Veek had a mean game. He got 3 tries and did heaps of good tackles too. Here's a couple of pics. Well done Veek.

What else is happening in Brizzy?? We had a bbq on the weekend with Uncle Ene, Aunty Kylie, Uncle AJ and Aunty Hana. Aunty Hana is 20 weeks preggers now. She asked Mum and Aunty Kylie to organise her baby shower. They don't know whether they're having a boy or girl but they do want to call the baby something beginning with K. Any ideas whanau???
